Report Or Recover Rent Arrears

We understand the frustration, stress & cost implications of being unlucky enough to have a problem tenant occupy your property.
The whole eviction process is daunting enough & many landlords are simply glad to see the back of their problem tenants.
Rentchecks have partnered with DebtReg who operate a ground breaking debt reporting & recovery database that not only assists landlords & other creditors to recoup some of the costs that they may well have written off but also facilitates registration of historical debts to alert future lenders, landlords or agencies.
The DebtReg database is free to access & landlords/creditors only pay a commission on successfully collected debts that are less than 6 years old.

If you are a landlord or agency & have outstanding rent arrears that were due within the past 6 years then you have the option to register the debt or register & recover the debt.
You will require the following information:

AST or commercial lease document

Name, last known address & date of birth of tenant(s)

Rent arrears notice(s) and/or court documents

How does it work?

If you simply wish to register the historical rent arrears or debt then simply upload any supporting evidence & add the debtor's details using the DebtReg online form.
If you wish to register the debt & attempt recovery then upload the details & select the recovery option. Tracing & collection activities are free of charge with zero risk to you. If the debt is recovered you will pay 15% of the debt once cleared funds are available.

Register A debt

Add the details of the debtor & the arrears or debt owed to you. Upload any supporting documentation. DebtReg will email you should they require any additional information

Recover or Register A Debt

It is free to register any debt owed to you or your business within the past 6 years.

If you require recovery then a 15% debt recovery fee is applicable once the debt has been successfully collected on your behalf (min £1000 debt).
